I bought this because it was advertised as safe for newborns weighing 7 pounds. My baby is 6 weeks old and weighs 8.5 pounds. I like the material and overall the carrier is comfortable. However, I dont feel like this is safe at all for newborns. I put it on the tightest snap setting and lowered the head flap my babys head is completely covered by the carrier. I ensured I was wearing it correctly and even had my pediatrician neighbor check it out. He didnt recommend we continue to use it as babys face, nose, and mouth should be uncovered by the carrier at all times. Im going to try again when baby is older and may change my rating but as of now, its a no from me.

I am delighted with this carrier. It is very comfortable for both me and the baby, I don't feel any weight, and the baby is happy. It is easy to put on and take off. The starry night looks beautiful. We love our carrier and use it every day. I wish it had instructions on how to position the baby face forward.

I love this carrier its easy and quick to put on and its comfy for me and baby. However, DO NOT buy the black cotton one it attracts so much lint and hair. I wish I ordered a different color or fabric.
