1080P High - Performance Video Baby Monitor BM01

Ever notice how all baby monitors have mixed reviews? Some people say "great night vision" the next review says "terrible night vision". All of them use cheap, outdated components. A $30 wifi camera will beat the image quality of a $200 baby monitor. But that's just the reality of the product space.

I scoured the internet for reviews and recommendations. Turns out there's a lack of high quality sources. Most reviews use paid influencers (which Momcozy also seems to do). I considered VTech, Infant Optics, Eufy, Babysense, and others. And all of them had some sort of fatal flaw. I was ready to give up entirely. The Momcozy isn't perfect, but is the most complete package. Here's why:

1. It's a true 1080p product. 1080p camera AND display. The display is the unique part. Most other competing products use a 720p display (and often times, camera too).

2. The range is legit. I have a challenging home for wireless reception, and had full strength from one corner of the house to the other.

3. The zoom is not great, but that's ok. See, there are zero cameras with optical zoom lenses. They're all digital zoom. And in order to have a good digital zoom, you need higher camera resolution than display resolution. Something like a 1080p camera with a 720p display will have pretty good digital zoom, as zooming in actually shows additional data that wouldn't otherwise be shown on the low resolution display. Since this is a 1080p / 1080p system, it means zooming just makes the picture…

Not had the monitor long so can't speak for longevity/lifespan but so far, it's so much better than the previous one we had! Range is very good for us, battery on monitor screen seems long lasting too.

One really useful thing which the description doesn't seem to say is that the camera has a 3/8" thread on the bottom (same as most camera tripod mounts) so it can be screwed to stand/tripod/mount really easily. We're using a small microphone stand with a 1/4" to 3/8" adaptor and it's perfect and portable!

This monitor worked so well when it comes to visuals. The view was perfect and being able to adjust from the tablet or parent monitor is wonderful.I am concerned.When i went to adjust the camera, my fingers felt the camera lense and it was hot! Not warm but burned me. I immediately turned it off and tried to contact the company. No word yet but that is def not right. Please take a moment to feel your camera lense if you use this product. It was only plugged in for a half hour. I am hoping i just got a dud but will wait for company to respond.Last thing anyone needs is a fire.

We got this monitor as a gift at our baby shower and we’re so excited cause I love everything Momcozy but I was quickly disappointed. The camera angles aren’t that great so it has to be in a very specific distance/angle from the crib in order to be able to see everything and the battery life on the monitor is horrible. We are having to charge it every morning. It also doesn’t have that far of a distance. We live in a small cape cod home and when I go to our back door across the house the camera disconnects. This is the first MomCozy product I’d say I would NOT recommend
